Bryan and Jennifer have five boys ranging from ages 5 to 14. They have always had a heart to share the gospel with other cultures and, after a short stint on the mission field, felt that God was leading them back to the US to minister to the vast number of unreached refugees that were migrating to our cities. They desired to both care for the sojourner’s physical needs as well as supply hope for their spiritual needs – both issues they felt were near to God’s heart.
They currently live in urban Saint Louis, and Bryan works for Rise Together Ministries where he serves refugees by providing job placement and training, helping them navigate medical care and government systems, and furnishing necessities such as clothes and basic furniture. This invariably leads to opportunities to share the gospel and make disciples. It’s a win, win! Please pray for the Hayes as they follow God’s call to “love those who are foreigners” in our midst (Deut. 10:19) and “make disciples of all nations” (Matt. 28:19).

We’ve been on staff with Cru for over ten years and have the privilege of serving students and faculty on over twenty college campuses in the Upstate of South Carolina. Our desire is to help launch communities where Jesus Christ captures hearts, transforms lives, and launches men and women into a lifelong adventure with Him. Over the past few years, we’ve welcomed the arrival of Samuel and Silas to our family, and are amazed at the ways God has lavished His grace on us as we minister as a family.
The Upstate of South Carolina claims Greenville and Spartanburg as its two largest cities. These cities claim twelve of the twenty colleges on which we want to help launch spiritual movements. The campuses of the Upstate are diverse, including highly selective universities like Furman University and Wofford College, regional schools like the University of South Carolina-Upstate, and very large community colleges that often feed into other area locations. Our prayer and hope is that each campus in the Upstate would be filled with spiritual movements so that everyone knows someone who truly follows Christ!
